I wrote this poem in American Sign Language as an assignment for my sign language class. It uses hand-shapes, or modified hand-shapes, of the manual letters of my name to form the signs and classifiers of the poem. It isn’t nearly as pretty translated into English, but it gives the right idea.
My Heart
swells with love
for all
the world.
I reach out to individuals,
proclaiming the Lord's
love.
My Heart
swells with love
for all
the world.
I reach out to individuals,
proclaiming the Lord's
love.
.
Suddenly
eternal
life!
Those I touch, touch others.
Love spreads
to everyone,
filling
the heart.

I am enchanted with sign. I am somehow drawn to the beauty of it. I understand the difficult intricacies though and I am afraid I could never learn. I so admire you!
It's not so hard to learn enough to enjoy it. :-) It is quite difficult when you get in deep, but I'll bet you can find a community class that would be fun for you to take. :-)
That's great. I like how you spelled your name forwards and then backwards.
That was way cool. Great way to praise!
